GOSS ARRASA EN EL SPRINT
FERRARI PROVOCA UNA CAÍDA A 200 METROS DE META
Ha acabado la tercera etapa del Giro d´ Italia con vencedor australiano, Matthew Goss ha sido el hombre más rápido en este sprint marcado por la maniobra del ciclista italiano, Roberto Ferrari en la que arrolla a Mark Cavendish que venía con todas las de ganar a gran velocidad.
La etapa de hoy transcurría por la localidad de danesa de Horsens con 190 kilómetros de distancia. Esta es una etapa llana donde los sprinters serían los protagonistas hasta que Ferrari se reclamó como protagonista tras tirar, como ya he contado antes al inglés. Antes de la etapa se rindió un minuto de silencio en homenaje al ciclista belga muerto hace justo un año corriendo el Giro, Wouter Weylandt.
La etapa empezó tranquila hasta que en el kilómetro 12 la escapada salió del pelotón. Esta escapada estaba formada por Mads Christensen, Miguel Minguez, Reto Hollenstein, Ramunas Navardauskas, Alfredo Balloni Y Martijn Keizer y terminó a falta de 25 kilómetros gracias al trabajo de BMC, Liquigas y Lampre.
A falta de 15 kilómetros Lars Ytting Bak volvió a intentar una escapada que el Sky, dominador en ese momento del pelotón no permitió. Se llegó al sprint masivo con un Cavendish encerrado que hizo movimientos raros, por fin se logró hacer un hueco y empezó a acelerar a muerte y a llegar a la cabeza del pelotón, pero en ese momento Roberto Ferrari hizo una maniobra extraña que tiró al suelo al sprinter inglés. Al campeón del mundo le pasaron por encima del cuerpo unos cuantos ciclistas más y por detrás se cayeron a su paso más corredores como la `Maglia Rosa´, Taylor Phiney que, a pesar de la caída mantuvo el liderazgo de la prueba.Mañana no habrá etapa, será la primera jornada de descanso en la que los equipos viajarán a Italia ya para afrontar el miércoles la contrarreloj por equipos de Verona, con una distancia de 32,2 kilómetros.
